Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry
Location
- Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Unit Description
- Oncology Unit with 16 beds, recently reopened
- Focus on patients with various cancer diagnoses
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5
- Specializes in chemotherapy administration
- Multidisciplinary team including oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, and support staff
- Emphasis on compassionate, specialized nursing care and creating an optimal healing environment
Work Schedule & Requirements
- 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays as required
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Licenses
- Valid Registered Nurse license in Alabama
Certifications
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
Additional Information
- Patient-facing clinical position
- On-site work (not remote)
- EMR system: Meditech
- Dress code: Solid navy scrubs
