Pharmacist Inpatient - Travel/Contract
Location: York, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide pharmacy services with inpatient or outpatient oncology experience.
- IV trained and experienced in hazardous and non-hazardous medication preparations.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, shifts between 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM.
- Weekend requirement: work every 3rd or 4th Saturday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM).
- Floating: primarily at York hospital, may float to a nearby facility (~2 miles away).
- May care for COVID-19 patients.
- Tobacco and fragrance-free facility environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Hospital Pharmacist license in Pennsylvania.
- Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacist experience, including experience within the last year.
- Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- IV trained.
- Experience with Epic system.
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Maximum Return to Office (RTO) time: 7 days.
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and Pennsylvania-specific PATCH search required.
- PA FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days.
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse (Childline) search required 3 business days prior to start and renewed every 5 years.
- Education verification of highest degree required.
- Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year of start (Aya requirement only).
- Physical exam and medical statement signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT required within 90 days of start.
- Fit mask test required for patient-facing candidates prior to start.
- Immunizations/vaccinations required:
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series) or declination with exemption process.
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years of start.
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start; chest X-ray if positive.
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer; booster requirements apply).
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer; booster requirements apply).
- Seasonal flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season.
- COVID-19 vaccine or valid exemption/declination accepted.
- Respiratory safety clearance required within 1 year of start and renewed annually.
- Two professional references required within 3 years of start.
- Most recent resume or employment application required.
- Annual skills checklist required.
Certifications and Competencies
- ACLS and BLS certifications as applicable (AHA or ARC accepted).
- Medication and pharmacology competency exams required as applicable.
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required (pass/fail exam with remediation process if needed).
- Additional certifications (PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIH Stroke, Tech Cert Verification) may be required depending on unit/job description.
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Clear, passport-style photo for badge required.
- Candidate must review and sign facility documents including Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, Commitment to Health & Wellness, and Non-Employee Affidavit.
- Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules on PC/laptop prior to start (not available on cell phones).
- New hire orientation must be completed by the end of the first day.
Additional Notes
- Candidate will be clinically screened for fit before manager interview.
- No call requirements.
- Holidays as needed.
