Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech
Location: Lafayette, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in Adult and Nuclear Cardiology settings.
- Perform procedures including Gastric Emptying, HIUDA Scan, Muga Scan, 3 Phase, Whole Body Bone Scan, Liver Imaging, Perfusion, Ventilation/Perfusion, Exercise/Rest-Multiple, Pharmacological Stress.
- Responsible for Isolation Precautions and handling/storing/disposal of radioactive materials.
- Must be able and willing to multitask and work as a team player.
- Start and maintain peripheral IVs.
- Weekend and on-call required: rotating call for one week at a time covering all after-hours including Saturday and Sunday.
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
- Shift options include:
- 4 shifts of 10 hours (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM), 40 hours per week
- 3 shifts of 12 hours (36 hours per week)
- 4 shifts of 12 hours (48 hours per week)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Indiana.
- Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year.
- Experience working with adult patients.
- CNMT or NMTCB certification required and must be in hand to submit.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA or RQI accepted).
