Description

Radiation Therapist Travel Position - Albany, NY

Job Overview

Administer ionizing radiation and radioactive substances to patients under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist.
Operate high voltage radiation therapy machinery safely and accurately.
Monitor patients daily for reactions and report any adverse effects immediately.
Enter and maintain patient treatment parameters in the electronic medical record.
Interpret computerized treatment plans accurately.
Follow radiation safety protocols as per New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), ARRT, and ACRO guidelines.
Maintain professional conduct focused on patient welfare.
Equipment used includes Varian Truebeam and Varian 21ix.
