Registered Nurse – Pain Management (Travel)

Location

Santa Fe, New Mexico

Shift: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day

Contract length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide routine and complex nursing care independently in pain management procedures, including pre-op, OR, and PACU settings.
Typically involved in pain procedure injections performed in the OR.
Manage clinical situations by making appropriate assignments and delegations.
Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Administer medications and treatments following protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
Minimum 1 year of pain management nursing experience within the last year
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Experience in pre-operative (Pre-Op) nursing
Experience in Operating Room (OR) nursing
Experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
