Job Opportunity: Pharmacist Inpatient

Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule & Shift Details

• 40 hours per week
• Shift: Day shift, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (5 days x 8 hours)
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd or 4th Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Holidays: As needed
• No call or floating required

Job Description

• Work in a Pre-Screen Unit; clinical fit will be assessed before final manager interview
• May care for COVID-19 patients
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free

Required Qualifications

• Valid Hospital Pharmacist license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience with Epic system

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Background Checks & Verifications

• 7-year criminal background check required within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search required, must be finalized prior to start (no pending results)
• PA FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Education verification of highest degree required
• 2 professional references within 3 years required
• Most recent resume or employment application required
• Annual skills checklist required

Certifications (as applicable)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC provider card required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA or ARC provider card required
• Other certifications (PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIH Stroke, etc.) as applicable per unit/job description

Competency Exams

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required as applicable
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required for all RNs (not applicable here but noted for awareness)

Facility-Specific Documents

• Clear, passport-style photo for badge
• Review and sign facility-required documents including Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, Commitment to Health & Wellness, Non-Employee Affidavit, and Hepatitis B declination form if applicable
• Complete Learning Management System (LMS) modules on PC/laptop prior to start (for RNs and CNAs; verify if applicable)
• New Hire Orientation must be completed by end of first day

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
• Fit mask test required 3 business days prior to start for patient-facing roles
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start
• Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start; PPD not accepted
• Vaccination or positive titer proof required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series)
  • Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• COVID-19 vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption or declination accepted
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel required within 1 year of start (Aya requirement only)
• Respiratory safety clearance required within 1 year of start, renewed annually

Additional Notes

• Return to Office (RTO) requirement: maximum 7 days
• Tobacco and fragrance free environment; candidates must be notified prior to submission
• Candidate must provide government-issued photo ID
• Attestation forms and I9/E-Verify documentation required by agency
• All health documents must include two identifying markers (e.g., full name, DOB, SSN)

This position is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with inpatient experience, comfortable working day shifts with occasional weekend coverage, and able to meet comprehensive compliance and health requirements.
