Description

Pharmacist Outpatient - Travel/Contract Position

Location: San Angelo, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Urgent backfill with a start date of July 13
  • Position in retail/outpatient pharmacy setting
  • Experience with Willow Ambulatory preferred
  • Schedule varies, includes:
    • Monday to Friday shifts (options include 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM, or 10:30 AM–7:00 PM)
    • Saturday shift: 8:00 AM–2:00 PM
    • Sundays off

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Pharmacist license in Texas
  • Pharmacist (1 year of experience)
  • Pharmacist experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Certifications & Competencies

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required as applicable
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
  • Other certifications may be required depending on assignment specifics (e.g., PALS, NRP, CHEMO) — verify with job details

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
  • Fit mask test within 6 months prior to start, annual updates required (accepted masks: 3M 1860 and 3M 1860S)
  • Immunizations and titers required within 72 hours of contract signing:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year) and TB questionnaire annually
    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters if titers negative/equivocal
    • Hepatitis B: positive titer or completed series, or signed declination form if applicable
    • Varicella: positive titer, 2 vaccines, or proof of disease; boosters if titers negative/equivocal
  • Drug testing required within 30 days, including a panel for multiple substances; must have plan for completion within 72 hours of contract signing
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination form required during flu season (Oct 31–Mar 31)
  • Initial COVID vaccination series required (boosters not required)

Documentation & Compliance

  • Passport-style photo with solid background for badge
  • Completion of facility-specific forms prior to start, including:
    • Non-Employee Information Form
    • Vaccine Exemption Form (if applicable)
    • Applicant Health Record Form
    • Code of Conduct and Compliance Form
    • Temporary License Declaration of Residency Form
    • Confidentiality Statement Form
    • Information System Security Agreement Form
    • Non-Employee Orientation Update Form
    • Traveler Orientation review
    • Hepatitis B Declination Form (if no positive titer on file)
  • Pass/Fail testing during orientation covering medication administration, restraint, and glucometer tests

Additional Requirements

  • Two professional references within 3 years of start
  • Resume or employment application copy required
  • Skills checklist updated annually

Work Hours

  • 40 hours per week, typically 5 days of 8 hours each
  • Day shift hours generally 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (may vary as noted in schedule)

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful.
