Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - General
Location

Contract Length

Schedule
- 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (40 hours/week)
- Day shifts, either 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Call requirement includes weekends, typically 2-4 shifts per month
- Floating within scope of practice as needed

Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist within the last year
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System
- EPIC
Facility Requirements
- Locals allowed
- First-time travelers accepted
- Block scheduling negotiable during interview
Background and Compliance
- Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Education verification required; US equivalency documentation if education completed outside the US
- Primary source verification of state license
- Two professional references completed within 1 year of start
Health and Safety Requirements
- Tdap vaccine or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
- Documentation of immunity or vaccination for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (3 doses or declination)
- Varicella
- 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); mask required if declined
Additional Facility-Specific Requirements
- Photo for badge
- Completion of confidentiality, crime disclosure, conflict of interest, and compliance documents
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Competency exam required
State-Specific Requirements (Washington)
- Suicide prevention training (6-hour course) required for nurses using a multi-state license before working in Washington (not applicable to this role but noted for reference)
This position offers a travel contract opportunity for an Ultrasound Tech with experience in radiology and cardiology, requiring ARDMS and BLS certifications, with a 13-week assignment and a day shift schedule including weekend call.
