Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract
Location
- Bellingham, Washington
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Variable shifts: predominantly night shift (18:30–06:30) with occasional day shifts (06:30–18:30)
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Typical pattern includes stretches of night shifts followed by days off, then approximately 1–2 weeks of day shifts, then days off before returning to nights

Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Washington
- Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- Certifications required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
On-Call and Floating
- No on-call requirement
- No floating outside scope of practice, but work covers ER, ICU, Labor and Delivery, Pediatrics, and Medical Floors
Licensure & Compliance
- Must have all required licenses and certifications prior to start
- Background checks required within 60 days of start, including:
- Social Security verification
- Criminal background (7-year search)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks every 45 days after start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start required
- Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually
- Drug testing required within 30 days of start
- Immunizations and health requirements:
- Tdap vaccine or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Flu vaccine or approved declination during flu season (Nov 1–Mar 31)
- Hepatitis B immunity or declination
- MMR, Varicella, and Rubella immunity or declination as per facility policy
- Respiratory safety clearance required for onsite candidates
Orientation and Training
- Orientation held on Tuesdays
- Must complete facility-specific orientation modules and pass quizzes with 100% prior to start
- Review of facility policies including dress code, masking, workplace violence prevention, and personnel restrictions due to illness required before start

- Locals are not accepted for this travel contract
- Parking is free
- Scrub color: any color or pattern allowed; scrubs provided in OR
- Charting system: Epic
