Description
Job Opportunity: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)
Location:
- Redmond, Washington
- Ambulatory Surgery Center
Employment Type:
- Travel/Contract
- Part-time contract (13 weeks)
Schedule:
- 3 shifts per week, 8 hours each (typically Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
- Shift hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (some flexibility to start earlier or end later)
- No weekends or on-call required
- No floating between units; same location every day
Job Description
- Position open to local, non-local, and true travel candidates
- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification required
- 1 year of experience as an OR/Surgical Tech in a general OR setting required
- Experience in ambulatory OR setting preferred
Surgical Skills & Procedures
- ENT: Direct laryngoscopy, endoscopic sinus procedures, mastoidectomy, tympanoplasty, stapedectomy, radical neck dissection, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, tracheostomy
- General Surgery: Hernia repair (inguinal/umbilical), laparoscopic assisted procedures
- Orthopedic: ACL reconstruction, arthroscopy, arthrotomy, carpal tunnel release, fracture reduction, cast application/removal, total hip/knee replacement
- Podiatry: Ankle fusion, bunionectomy, hallux valgus arthroplasty/arthrodesis, metatarsal surgery
- Emergency Management: Fire safety
- Equipment/Instrumentation: Care of scopes, case cart, crash cart, drills, electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords
- Professional Knowledge: Aseptic technique, isolation precautions/PPE, laser safety, pressure ulcer prevention, radiation safety, sharps safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol (time out) procedure

- Charting system: EPIC (experience preferred)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Certified Surgical Technologist license in Washington
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- Proficiency in surgical procedures including:
- Direct laryngoscopy
- Endoscopic sinus procedures
- Mastoidectomy, tympanoplasty, stapedectomy
- Radical neck dissection
- Tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy
- Tracheostomy
- Hernia repair (inguinal/umbilical)
- Laparoscopic assisted procedures
- Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) reconstruction
