Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech

Location: Richland, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Shift: Day shift, Friday through Sunday
  • Hours: 12-hour shifts (9:00 AM to 9:30 PM), 3 shifts per week (36 hours total)
  • Weekend work required
  • Block schedules required
  • Expected patient ratio: 1:1
  • No floating between units
  • No on-call required
  • Must have experience working in a large hospital setting
  • 48-hour shifts are not approved

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiology Technologist license in Washington
  • Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience as an X-Ray Technician

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating fitness to work
  • Fit mask test (respirator clearance) required for travel candidates starting on or after 2/5/2024; must be updated annually
  • Immunizations/vaccinations required or acceptable declinations:
    • TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years
    • Measles (Rubeola) - 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
    • Mumps - 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
    • Rubella - 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B - vaccination series or signed declination
    • Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer
    • Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season (9/1–3/30) or signed declination
    • COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually; positive TB history requires documentation and chest X-ray within 5 years

Facility and Job-Specific Requirements

  • Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required
  • Float policy acknowledgement: candidate may be required to float to another facility within reasonable distance
  • Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp) required
  • Epic system training modules required as applicable
  • WA Multi-State Licensed Nurses Demographic Attestation required for nurses with out-of-state compact licenses (not applicable here but noted for awareness)
