Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.
• Orientation dates available on a scheduled basis.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.
• Night shift differential and overtime/holiday pay apply.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Iowa license also accepted.
• Experience with chest tubes, femstops, tracheostomies, continuous bladder irrigations (CBIs), drains, and central lines.
• Medication titration experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must provide work history/resume, skills checklist (completed within 1 year), license verification, required certifications, and at least one supervisory reference at time of submission.
• Must have a taxable address outside a 50-mile radius from the facility (locals accepted with a rate reduction).
• Not employed by the facility within the last 12 months.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cardiac and open heart experience.
• Completion of at least one prior travel nursing contract.

Additional Information

• Night shift hours are 12 hours long.
• Call back pay and on-call pay available.
• Charge nurse and preceptor pay available.
• Facility is a Level 1 trauma center.
• Must be able to work holidays and overtime as needed.
