Cath Lab Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Melbourne, Florida
Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 5:15 PM), Monday through Friday
Contract Length: 9 weeks

Job Details

• Patient ratio: 1:2
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period (schedule determined by unit needs)
• On-call required
• Floating: May float within scope to other facilities as needed
• No on-call, float, hurricane, or holiday shifts outside of stated requirements
• Scrubs: Any solid color

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Flu vaccine required during flu season (10/1–3/31); medical or religious exemptions accepted with facility-specific forms submitted by deadline
• Physical exam within 6 months prior to start (required by Florida law for all patient-facing staff)
• Fit mask test within 12 months prior to start (specific mask types required; must be fully shaven)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months of start (QGold or 2 negative PPDs accepted; Tspot not accepted)
• Required immunization titers within 5 years for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (must include marijuana; witnessed urine collection required for instant tests)
• Annual TB questionnaire required
• Background checks within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including:

  • Social Security Trace
  • County, State, Nationwide checks
  • Sex Offender Registry
  • Education verification (international searches required; certain institutions disqualified)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 90 days of start
• Monthly HHS/OIG checks
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting must be completed ASAP if not already on file)

  • Confidentiality Agreement
  • iCARE Values
  • Badge Form
• Submission of finalized Return to Office (RTO) form with application (no late submissions accepted)
• Contracted hours guaranteed

Notes

• Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers
• May be required to run Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) search if requested
• Candidates must have current application/resume dated within 90 days of start
• Candidates must meet all facility and state-specific compliance and credentialing requirements prior to start
