Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Centralia, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM (5 days a week, 8 hours per day)
• Start Date: ASAP
• On-Call: Required, 4-6 shifts per month
• Local Candidates: Not eligible if residing within 50 miles of the facility
• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
  • Preferred experience in scrub and circulating roles within Gynecology, General Surgery, and Orthopedics
• First-time travelers: Accepted

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Preferred

Required Licenses

• Valid Registered Nurse license for Washington State

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Social Security Card (for I9 and state-specific requirements)
• Background Check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years, updated annually
• Education Verification (nursing degree verification required)
• NURSYS verification for RN license
• Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, confirming ability to work
• Immunizations and Health Requirements:

  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer, or signed declination
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer, or signed declination
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
  • COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
• Drug Screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
• Respirator Safety Clearance (RespSafety) required for travel candidates, medically cleared annually
• Fit Mask test required for travel candidates, updated annually (may be completed onsite)

Additional Requirements

• References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format
• Skills Checklist: Required and must be updated annually for applicable units
• Float Policy Acknowledgement: May be required to float to other nearby facilities
• Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with neutral background required

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Notes

• Pending licenses are not accepted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be included in the submission
• Candidates must complete required annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules as assigned
• Local travelers residing within 50 miles are not eligible for this travel contract

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of OR experience, comfortable with on-call duties, and willing to commit to a 13-week travel contract in Centralia, WA.
