Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Job – Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, Monday-Friday, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Hours per Week: 40 hours
Job Description
- Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 5 eight-hour shifts
- Prior experience required with Mosaiq, Elekta Infinity, Elekta Synergy, and Vision RT systems
- Elekta experience needed to cover Synergy machine during staff training on new equipment and MR system
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Missouri
- ARRT-T certification
- Minimum of 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
Background Checks & Compliance
- 7-year criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including aliases
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 60 days of start
- Education verification of highest degree required
- Missouri state-specific EDL search required within 60 days of start
Competencies & Testing
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Color Blindness testing (Relias online exam acceptable)
- Profession/specialty-specific competency exams
- EPIC Pass/Fail testing (EKG/Medication) administered onsite with two attempts allowed
- Core HIPAA testing or signed Lotus HIPAA form for subcontractors
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Mask fit test within 12 months of start (specific 3M mask models required)
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 1 year; if positive, clear chest x-ray within 5 years and TB questionnaire within 1 year
- Annual TB questionnaire required regardless of TB status
- Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (vaccine series, positive titer, or declination)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine required if assigned to NICU or Family Birthplace areas (within 10 years)
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Sept 1 – Mar 31) or approved exemption
Drug Testing
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (includes amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, marijuana, methadone, methaqualone, propoxyphene, PCP, opiates)
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Clear, passport-style photo for badge
- Completion of facility-specific e-learning modules within 3-5 days of receiving access; “New Colleague (External Traveler) E-Learning” must be completed prior to start
- Annual skills checklist required
