Description

Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Pullman, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 13 weeks)
Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
Call Requirement: None
Floating: As needed within scope


Job Requirements

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery (LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum) nursing experience, with experience within the last year
  • Certifications required:
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
    • STABLE certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance and Documentation

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
  • Background checks including:
    • 7-year criminal history check (all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
    • HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
    • Washington State Patrol (WSP/WATCH) search within 12 months of start
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start, attesting ability to meet physical demands
  • Immunizations and health screenings:
    • Tdap vaccine
    • Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 12 months
    • Annual TB questionnaire
    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: titer or 2 vaccines (declinations not accepted)
    • Hepatitis B: titer, vaccine series, or declination
    • Varicella: titer or 2 vaccines (declinations not accepted)
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required annually (by October 31)
  • Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
  • Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
  • Completed employment application/resume
  • Skills checklist for applicable unit, updated annually

Facility-Specific Requirements

  • Professional photo for badge (clear, close-up)
  • Signed acknowledgements prior to start:
    • Personal Appearance Policy (scrubs allowed; scrubs provided for surgical staff)
    • Code of Conduct
    • HIPAA Confidentiality Agreement
    • Employee Computer/IT Use Agreement

Additional Notes

  • Floating may be required within the scope of practice
  • No call responsibilities
  • Block scheduling options can be discussed during interview

This position is ideal for a Labor and Delivery nurse with at least 2 years of relevant experience, current certifications, and readiness to work night shifts on a travel contract basis in Washington State.

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
