Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Oncology Clinic

Location

  • Chicago, Illinois
  • Must live within 75 miles of the facility (locals only)

Employment Type

  • Travel/Contract
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Schedule

  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5x8 hour shifts)
  • Guaranteed 40 hours per week
  • No weekend or holiday call requirements
  • Time off requests (RTO) allowed up to 5 days max, no more than 2 consecutive days, with restrictions around holidays and weekends
  • Mandatory floating to other units within scope as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
  • Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) or Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) certification
  • Chemotherapy (CHEMO) experience
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Requirements

  • Must complete facility-specific forms and rules of behavior
  • Charting system used: Cerner
  • Scrub color: Any solid color
  • Parking available at $2/day with shuttle service; public transit highly recommended

Notes

  • Prior travel experience is not required
  • Locals only; no pending licenses accepted
  • Floating to other units is mandatory as per facility policy

This position is ideal for an experienced oncology RN seeking a local travel contract with a structured weekday schedule and no weekend or holiday call.
