Description

Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Location: Putnam, Connecticut
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (3 shifts of 12 hours each)
Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed (may consider up to 40 hours)

Job Details

Assignment in a 17-bed ICU/CCU unit: 6 critical care beds, 11 telemetry beds, including 2 ventilator beds.
Schedule: 7am to 7pm shifts, every other weekend off.
Start date: ASAP.
Float to stepdown unit as needed.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut.
Minimum 3 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Additional Information

Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
The position involves working in a critical care environment with ventilated patients.
