Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (12-hour Night Shift, Travel Assignment)

Location: Port Huron, Michigan
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 9 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour night shift)

Job Summary

• Provide safe, direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Responsible and accountable for patient care and communication with physicians regarding clinical changes and diagnostic results.
• Guide patient/family teaching and supervise other nursing personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards in Telemetry.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
• Knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and mandatory reporting of abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Workplace Violence Prevention certification (DCI/BVP).

• Must complete agency attestation and orientation packet prior to onboarding.
• Badge photo will be taken on the first day; no need to submit in advance.
