Job Description

• Provide direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process on the unit.
• Delegate appropriate interventions to other staff and supervise as needed.
• Maintain a safe environment for effective nursing care.
• Educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in planning and managing care.
• Work as a responsible, supportive team player.
• Ability to perform well in high-stress situations.
• Flexibility required to change shifts based on census demands.

Shift

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Flexibility to change days as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Pediatric Behavioral Health experience, with at least 3 years total and experience within the last year
• Psychiatric experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Additional Information

• Candidates with any licensure issues or background hits will not be considered.
• Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
• The employer reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract.
• Candidate must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.

Prior Travel Experience

• Prior travel experience is required for this position.
