Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Night Shift
Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (4 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 48 hours
Job Description
- Position requires working night shifts with weekend and holiday coverage every other weekend.
- Floating within scope to similar units as needed.
- Must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric patients in ICU settings.
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend.
- On-call is not required.
- Only 4 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed, excluding holidays.
- Locals within a 50-mile radius of the main campus are not accepted.
- Return staff policy: must be away for 1 year before returning as a traveler.
- Maximum of 2 contracts allowed (one extension possible), then a 6-month break required before returning.
- Call-off policy: after 2 call-offs in a 13-week assignment, all contracted hours are guaranteed.

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- Experience working with pediatric patients
- Experience working with adult patients
Additional Requirements
- Must review and sign facility-specific documents prior to start, including job description, confidentiality agreements, emergency contact, and various acknowledgments.
- Photo for badge required (passport-style, professional, solid background, no large earrings, face piercings, unnatural hair colors, or head coverings unless for religious reasons).
- Parking registration required if driving to work.
- Completion of mandatory orientation and modules prior to start.
- Must comply with facility’s return-to-work and contract limit policies.
Scheduling and Work Environment
- Night shift, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each.
- Floating between like units as needed.
- Weekend and holiday coverage required.
- Must be comfortable working with both pediatric and adult ICU patients.
