MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Portland, Oregon
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Role: MRI Technologist in Diagnostic Imaging
• Patient Population: Infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Shift: Evenings, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (mostly 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM)
• Weekend work required
• Floating: Within hospital only (no floating to other hospitals)
• Schedule: Variable days, schedule provided weeks in advance
• On-call: Not required
• Holidays: Not required
• Locals and first-time travelers accepted
• Pending license accepted if application submitted and received by licensing board
• Return to Origin (RTO) restrictions: 1 week max

Required Qualifications

• Valid MRI Technologist license in Oregon
• Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT (MR) certification required
• BLS certification (AHA provider only) required

Certifications & Competencies

• ARRT (MR) certification
• BLS (AHA provider only)
• ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications may be required depending on unit (verify with recruiter)
• Competency exams with required passing score of 85% or higher
• Stroke CEUs required for certain units (not specific to this role unless assigned to those units)

Compliance & Onboarding

• Must complete facility-specific professional appearance policy and job description acknowledgment prior to start
• Required to complete online training modules before badge issuance (Compass system)
• Must comply with facility’s coronavirus protocol attestation
• Background check and advanced screening release forms required and must be completed promptly
• Facility requires full availability for compliance needs up until start date (notify recruiter of any planned unavailability)

Additional Notes

• Scrubs provided for OR if applicable; no personal scrub prints required
• Charting system: EPIC
• Parking cost: $15 daily
• No drug screen required annually unless there is a 60+ day gap between assignments at this facility
• Physical exam required only for specific transport roles, not for this position
• Facility does not conduct fit testing onsite; must be completed prior to start through agency or approved provider
