Infusion Nurse (Registered Nurse) - Travel/Contract

Location: Gresham, Oregon
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Role: Community Hematology/Oncology Infusion Nurse
• Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), Monday through Sunday with variable days
• Floating: Required to float among five clinic locations based on staffing needs
• On Call: Not required
• Patient Population: Adult hematology and general medical oncology patients
• Responsibilities include patient education and care coordination as an RN navigator

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon
• Minimum 1 year of infusion experience within the last year
• Oncology nursing experience
• Experience in an outpatient setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or competency
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance and Onboarding Requirements

• Complete facility-specific professional appearance policy and job description acknowledgment prior to start
• Complete required online training modules before badge issuance, including:

  • Information Privacy and Security Essentials
  • Integrity Foundations
  • Harassment Prevention Fundamentals
  • Glucometer 2026 (exemptions apply)
  • Omnicell Nurse Patient Care Training (exemptions apply)
  • Vocera Badge Training (for inpatient RNs)
• Medication override test provided for orientation (not required before start)
• Respirator fit testing required within one year prior to start (must be completed through agency, not onsite)
• Physical exam not required unless specified for other roles
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen including methamphetamines within 3 months prior to start, processed through a SAMHSA-certified lab
• Immunizations and Health Requirements:

  • Tdap vaccine or signed declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • TB questionnaire required
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination with signed declination if applicable
  • Hepatitis B vaccine series or signed declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination with signed declination if applicable
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination (deadline December 1, 2025)
• COVID-19 related protocols and attestation must be reviewed and signed

Additional Information

• Must be fully available for compliance needs up until start date; any planned unavailability must be communicated in advance
• Floating preferences considered based on residence but not guaranteed
• No on-call duties required
• Must complete all required documentation and background checks promptly to ensure clearance for start
