Schedule

• Day shift, 4x10 hours (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Minimal on-call (approximately every 5th weekend)

Job Description

• Role involves part procedure time and part pre/post procedure care.
• Procedures include:

  • Post-procedure recovery (conscious sedation)
  • Bronchoscopy
  • Circulating during procedures
  • Colonoscopy
  • Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
• Equipment used: ION robot, Fujinon scopes, Medivator1

Facility Requirements

• Radius restriction: 100-mile radius rule (mileage within reviewed case-by-case)
• First-time travelers accepted
• EMR system: Any

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kansas
• Minimum 1 year of endoscopy experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification issued by American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation
• Background check:

  • 7-year criminal history check within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Must cover all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
  • FACIS Level III screening within 30 days of start (no instant searches accepted)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education verification or proof of highest degree earned
• Nursys verification (for RNs)
• Physical exam within last 12 months, signed by MD, DO, PA, or ARNP confirming ability to perform essential job functions
• N95 Fit Test within 12 months (onsite fit testing available if needed)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (or appropriate documentation if positive history)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer within 10 years or completed 2-dose vaccine series (boosters required if non-immune)
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer, completed vaccine series, or declination form
  • Varicella: Positive titer or completed 2-dose vaccine series
• Drug testing:

  • 10-panel drug screen including marijuana within 60 days of start (SAMHSA certified, reviewed by MRO; instant tests not accepted)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); decliners must wear a mask at all times
• COVID-19 vaccine or declination accepted (medical/religious exemptions accepted with declination form)
• References:

  • 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel positions
• Completion of facility-specific Healthstream modules (approx. 8 hours) prior to start
• Photo for badge required

Additional Notes

• Prior employees of this facility will not be considered for this travel contract.
• Minimal call schedule currently every 5th weekend.
• Must be able to work within the 100-mile radius rule unless approved otherwise.
• No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers accepted.
