Job Opportunity: Case Manager (Registered Nurse)

Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day
• Shift Times: One of the following:

  • 07:00 - 15:30
  • 07:30 - 16:00
  • 08:00 - 16:30
  • 08:30 - 17:00
• Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed (72 hours per 2 weeks with possible call-off for one 8-hour shift every 2 weeks)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 4 weekend days in a 4-week schedule
• On-call: Not required
• Floating: May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Block Schedule: Not accommodated
• Local Candidates: Not accepted (must live at least 50 miles from facility)
• Start Date: ASAP

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Alaska
• Minimum 1 year of Care Manager experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Acute Care experience
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background Check: Must be completed within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually
• Education Verification: Required for nursing degree; international education requires diploma/transcript or CES report
• Drug Screen: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; instant tests acceptable
• Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
• Immunizations and Health Requirements:

  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer or signed declination
  • Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series and/or positive titer or signed declination (Alaska placements require both positive titer and vaccine series)
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer or signed declination
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
  • COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted
• Respiratory Safety Clearance: Required annually for travel candidates; virtual questionnaire reviewed by licensed healthcare professional
• Fit Mask Testing: Required annually for travel candidates; completed onsite or valid record within 1 year
• Work History: Employment application covering at least last 5 years; work history verification required if exceptions to references are requested
• Skills Checklist: Required annually for applicable units

Additional Requirements

• Floating Policy: Acknowledgement required; may float to other nearby facilities
• Epic Experience: Must have prior experience with Epic system
• References: Must align with booked specialty; charge RN references acceptable if direct supervisor
• Candidate Address: Must be at least 50 miles from facility to qualify as traveler

Notes

• First-time travelers accepted
• Only one time-off request allowed per 13-week assignment (up to 5 days)
• No holiday time off requests allowed for auto offer candidates
