Job Opportunity: Case Manager (Registered Nurse)
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day
- Shift Times: One of the following:
- 07:00 - 15:30
- 07:30 - 16:00
- 08:00 - 16:30
- 08:30 - 17:00
- Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed (72 hours per 2 weeks with possible call-off for one 8-hour shift every 2 weeks)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 4 weekend days in a 4-week schedule
- On-call: Not required
- Floating: May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated
- Local Candidates: Not accepted (must live at least 50 miles from facility)
- Start Date: ASAP

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Minimum 1 year of Care Manager experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NIHSS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Acute Care experience
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background Check: Must be completed within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually
- Education Verification: Required for nursing degree; international education requires diploma/transcript or CES report
- Drug Screen: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; instant tests acceptable
- Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
- Immunizations and Health Requirements:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer or signed declination
- Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series and/or positive titer or signed declination (Alaska placements require both positive titer and vaccine series)
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer or signed declination
- Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted
- Respiratory Safety Clearance: Required annually for travel candidates; virtual questionnaire reviewed by licensed healthcare professional
- Fit Mask Testing: Required annually for travel candidates; completed onsite or valid record within 1 year
- Work History: Employment application covering at least last 5 years; work history verification required if exceptions to references are requested
- Skills Checklist: Required annually for applicable units
Additional Requirements
- Floating Policy: Acknowledgement required; may float to other nearby facilities
- Epic Experience: Must have prior experience with Epic system
- References: Must align with booked specialty; charge RN references acceptable if direct supervisor
- Candidate Address: Must be at least 50 miles from facility to qualify as traveler
Notes
- First-time travelers accepted
- Only one time-off request allowed per 13-week assignment (up to 5 days)
- No holiday time off requests allowed for auto offer candidates
