Description
Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: South Bend, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Interventional Radiology Tech)
- Shift: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- On-Call Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM when on call
- Call Requirements: 1 day per week plus weekend call every 3rd or 4th weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Weekend Requirement: On-call weekends only
- Holiday Requirement: As needed
- Floating: None
- Daily Caseload: 10-15 cases per tech
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
- Experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist within the last year
- Familiarity with wires
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA only
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA only
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (refer to unit-specific job descriptions)
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Background check covering last 7 years and all states lived/worked in, required within 90 days of start
- Education verification or copy of diploma/transcripts required
- Physical exam required
- Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (includes amphetamines, cannabinoids, MDMA, methamphetamines, buprenorphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, cocaine, methadone, tramadol, benzodiazepines, morphine/opiate)
- TB testing: Negative 2-step PPD or Q-gold within 1 year of start (T-spot not accepted); if positive PPD, must have chest x-ray within past 12 months
- Immunizations or titers required for: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start and on file by December 15
- COVID vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required; medical exemptions must be signed by healthcare provider
Additional Facility Requirements
- Candidates must review and sign receipt of the Agency Resource Guide
- Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement required prior to start
- Passport-style photo with solid background required for badge
- Completion of facility-specific online modules (approx. 8-10 hours) due by Friday before start date; paid time for completion provided
- On-site EKG exam required for Monitor Techs (not applicable here)
