Registered Nurse - MS/Telemetry (Night Shift) - Columbus, Ohio

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 16 weeks
• Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• Minimum of 1 year of Telemetry experience, with recent Telemetry experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Background and Screening Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including:

  • Social Security Trace
  • Counties lived/worked
  • Nationwide search
  • Sex Offender Registry
  • Motor Vehicle Record (if driving is part of the job)
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start using specific code (3701.881).
• Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending at start.
• Education accreditation confirmation required immediately after contract signing.
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start; no pending drug screens allowed at start.
• Employment application and skills checklist required.
• Two professional references required; at least one must be from a manager or formal leader.

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease.
• Fit mask test annually required for inpatient/patient-facing roles; must be valid for entire assignment.
• Immunizations and/or titers required:

  • Tdap (adult dose after age 11/12; no exemptions if working with infants or pregnant patients)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year of start; annual TB questionnaire required.
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if low titer.
  • Hepatitis B: Titer or 3-vaccine series; signed declination acceptable.
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; medical exemptions require documentation.
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); decliners must wear a mask.
• COVID-19 vaccination not required but recommended.

Facility Policies and Compliance

• Dress code and hand hygiene policy acknowledgment required for contracts signed 5/19/25 and beyond.
• Confidential Fraud, Waste, and Abuse reporting form required.
• Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually.
• Ethics and compliance policies must be reviewed and acknowledged annually for new contracts signed 11/7/24 and beyond.
