Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off, covering 40 hours/week.
• Provide imaging and scrub coverage for the hybrid vascular room outside normal hours.
• Call shift: Monday-Friday 4:00 PM to 7:30 AM; 24-hour call on Saturday and Sunday.
• Support three vascular surgeons during vascular surgical cases including:

  • Arterial, visceral, and venous interventions (e.g., AAA stent)
  • Peripheral interventions with possible conversion to open surgery
  • Scrubbing for percutaneous procedures; surgical tech available if case converts to open
  • Setup of trays, injector, table operation, X-ray and imaging including DSA, and radiation safety
  • Assisting surgeons with wires, catheters, balloons, stents, and closure devices
• Average call-in/late cases occur about twice per week.
• Candidates can come from cath lab, interventional radiology (IR), or special procedures tech backgrounds.
• Missouri does not require statewide licensure for operating X-ray equipment; RCIS or scrub tech with appropriate skills acceptable.
• Ability to scrub open cases is a strong plus.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year.
• Experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, Interventional Radiology Technologist, or Special Procedures Technologist.
