Description
X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology) - Travel/Contract
Location: Springfield, Illinois
Contract Length: 9 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 3rd shift (3x12 hour shifts, 1900-0730)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Schedule Details:
- Every 3rd weekend required
- On-call and holidays required
- No floating outside scope
- Block schedule requests can be discussed with manager
- Locals accepted with no radius restriction
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technician license in Illinois (active, no pending licenses)
- Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technician experience within the last year
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience working with Adult patients
- Experience in Acute Care and Outpatient settings
- X-Ray Technician experience
Facility & Work Environment
- Acute Care Hospital, Level I Trauma Center
- Magnet designated facility
- Total staffed beds: 562
- Charting system: Cerner
- Scrub color: Any solid color
- Parking permit required (no cost)
Health & Compliance Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, DC, APN, FNP, or DO
- Fit mask test required (3M1860 small/regular, 1870, or 1870+ masks accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Required immunizations or documentation:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (annual)
- 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Background checks including:
- Criminal history, SSN trace, sex offender registry, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
- State-specific inmate and offender searches for Illinois
- Fingerprinting required in Illinois within 3 business days prior to start (cannot be done out of state)
- Competency exam required for all clinical candidates
- Professional references: 2 required for clinical travel candidates
Additional Notes
- Guaranteed hours subject to client call-offs up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without pay
- On-call shifts count as called-off shifts if used in lieu of call-offs
- No more than 5 days of return-to-office (RTO) restrictions ideally
- Badge photo required within one week of contract signing
- Completion of orientation safety manual and computer-based learning modules required before or on first day of orientation
