Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER) – Nights

Job Details

• Patient Ratio: 3:1
• Shift: Nights
• Orientation Dates: July 13, July 20
• Workweek: 36-40 hours/week (overtime billable after 40 hours)
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
• Scrubs: Grey, solids
• EMR System: EPIC
• Overtime/Holiday Pay: 1.15x multiplier
• Call Back Pay: 1.5x multiplier with 2-hour minimum
• On Call Pay: $9/hr
• Charge/Precept Pay: $6/hr

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Competency) certification
• Experience with drip/titrate medications including cardiac drips, insulin, heparin, and all types of critical care/emergency medicine drips
• Valid driver’s license

• No local candidates within 90 miles of the facility will be considered

This position requires strong emergency nursing skills, critical care drip management, and telemetry experience, with a commitment to holiday shifts and night work.
