Position Details
- Specialty: Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse
- Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5 days x 8 hours)
- Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 7 patients
- Facility Type: Outpatient clinic
- Charting System: Epic (Excellian)
- Parking: Free in any unrestricted space
- Scrub Color: Navy
- Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
- Block Scheduling: Accommodated
- Locals: Not accepted within 100-mile radius
- Pending License: Accepted
- RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Minnesota
- Minimum 2 years of Hematology/Oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Oncology infusion certification (ONS/ONCC) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Chemotherapy certification required
Special Requirements / Clinical Focus
- Care for all oncology diagnoses including GI/GU requiring infusion
- Management of OB fluids, nausea/vomiting regimens
- Administration of research protocols, migraine protocols, antibiotics
- Experience with BCG, cystoscopy, intrathecal chemotherapy
Additional Information
- First-time travel nurses are not accepted
- No weekend shifts required
- On-call is not required
- Guaranteed hours subject to client cancellation policy (client may cancel up to 3 shifts without penalty)
- Candidates must complete assigned pre-orientation online modules within 72 hours of receiving access; modules take 3-9 hours depending on specialty
- Facility is latex-free; candidates with latex allergy should be aware
- Candidates must comply with uniform guidelines (navy scrubs)
Summary
This is a 13-week travel contract for an experienced Oncology Infusion RN with chemotherapy certification. The role is a day shift in an outpatient oncology infusion clinic in Minneapolis, MN. Candidates must have at least 2 years of oncology nursing experience, required certifications including BLS and chemo certification, and meet all health and background clearance requirements specific to Minnesota. The position does not accept first-time travelers and requires completion of facility-specific training modules prior to start.
