Description

Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (Travel/Contract)

Location: Greenville, South Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
  • Call: One night of call per week and every seventh weekend
  • Floating: Required to float to other units or campuses as needed, limited to qualified areas with documented competencies
  • Medication System: Omnicell
  • Documentation System: EPIC (minimum 1 year of EPIC experience required)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in South Carolina
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, with experience within the last year
  • ARRT (Registered Radiologic Technologist) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC documentation system

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

  • Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver’s license at contract signing and carry ID while on duty
  • Background Checks:
    • 7-year background check within 12 months of start date
    • Includes SS trace, alias searches, state and county searches for all places lived/worked in last 7 years
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and every 30 days thereafter
    • Fingerprinting required if applicable (e.g., if lived/worked in WV in last 7 years)
  • Education Verification: Highest level of education must be verified; diplomas not accepted as placeholders
  • Drug Testing: 5-panel drug screen within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Physical Exam: Physician’s statement within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands
  • Immunizations and Health Documents:
    • Negative TB test (True 2-step PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or Tspot) within 90 days of start
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within last 10 years if working in high-risk areas
    • Flu vaccine or approved exemption required annually (not required for 100% remote workers)
    • Documentation for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (vaccination, titer, or declination)
  • Fit Mask: Respirator fit test completed onsite during orientation

Certifications and Training

  • Mandatory Certifications:
    • BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC only; RQI acceptable)
    • Pass/Fail Testing (Medication and Arrhythmia tests) required for RNs and certain tech roles; must pass with 84% score, two attempts allowed
  • Additional Certifications (as applicable):
    • PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, EFM, MAB or CPI, NIH Stroke Certification, Lactation Certificate (for Women’s RN roles)
  • Orientation:
    • Completion of online Cornerstone modules within 72 hours of assignment
    • 16 hours of non-billable orientation onsite after module completion

Competency and Compliance Exams

  • Annual completion of Core Parts I, II, and III training and exams (including universal precautions, cultural diversity, pain management, OSHA, TJC National Patient Safety Goals, etc.)
  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required annually
  • Color blindness testing required for nurses assigned to Emergency Department and Pediatric ER

Additional Facility Requirements

  • Badge photo meeting specific criteria (passport style, light background, no obstructions) required prior to start
  • Floating policy acknowledgment required annually for clinical staff
  • Contractor acknowledgment form must be signed within 24 hours of contract signing and renewed annually
