Occupational Therapist - Outpatient (Travel/Contract)

Location: Richmond, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Weekends Required: No

Job Description

• Provide occupational therapy services in both acute and outpatient settings.
• Start date: ASAP
• Locals and first-time travelers are accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Missouri.
• Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Experience in an outpatient setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience as a Physical Therapist.

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
• Background checks including 7-year work/school history, sex offender registry, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG (updated annually).
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years.
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year.
  • Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella (for candidates born 1957 or later).
  • Hepatitis B titer, declination, or vaccine series.
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination history.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31).
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within 1 year of start date.
• Professional references:

  • 2 references for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles.
  • 1 reference for per diem non-acute care roles.
• Annual competency exams and skills checklist as applicable.

Additional Certifications (Preferred/As Applicable)

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) as required.

Notes

• No prior travel experience required.
• Candidates must review and sign facility-specific documents including immunization acknowledgment, safe worker agreement, and HIPAA confidentiality statement.
