Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Weekend Requirement: Some weekends required
- Call Requirement: Yes
- Floating: Not required
- Unit: Postpartum / Mother Baby / Labor & Delivery (small facility)
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
- Block scheduling allowed
- Scrubs: Not provided; any solid color scrub is acceptable
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Experience with C-sections
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID must be carried during work hours
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation required
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, SS trace, counties, nationwide, sex offender registry, FACIS Level 3, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG required and must be current
- Education verification upon client request
- NURSYS verification required for all RNs
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency testing as applicable
- Physical exam within last 12 months (not required annually)
- N95 Fit Mask test within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (updated annually)
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
- Immunizations/vaccinations required or documentation of immunity:
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; exemptions apply for candidates born before 1957
- Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: 2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox
- Seasonal flu vaccine preferred but not mandatory; if declined, mask wearing required while working
- COVID-19 vaccination proof required prior to start; religious or medical exemptions considered with facility-specific form; boosters not required
- Facility-specific COVID exemption forms available for religious or medical exemptions
Additional Notes
- Locals allowed; no radius restrictions
- First-time travelers accepted
- Performance evaluations required if previously worked with the agency over 1 year
- Skills checklist must be updated annually for applicable units
This position offers an opportunity to work in a small facility focused on postpartum, mother-baby, and labor & delivery care with a supportive scheduling environment and clear compliance requirements.
