Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse

Location: Tampa, Florida
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Position requires experience in vascular and cardiac nursing.
• Work setting: Short Term Acute Care facility with Level II Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma designations.
• Patient population includes diagnoses such as peripheral vascular disease, aortic disease, peripheral artery disease, carotid disease, coronary artery disease, valve disease, TAVR, and aortic dissections.
• Responsibilities include circulating open heart surgeries and vascular cases.
• Special procedures involved: angiograms, aortograms, EVAR, TVAR, TCAR, open AAA.
• Work environment includes a hybrid room with Cerner EMR charting system.
• Shift: Day shift, 4 shifts of 10 hours each (6:30 AM to 5:00 PM).
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1 during day shifts.
• Weekend requirement: Every third weekend (4 weekend shifts per contract).
• On-call required as needed.
• No floating outside scope of practice.
• Block scheduling may be discussed during interview.
• Locals accepted; pending licenses not accepted.
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions accepted).

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
