MRI Technologist (Temporary) – New Lenox, IL

Job Summary

• Perform routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients of all ages.
• Conduct assigned supervisory functions.
• Verify physician orders and consult with radiologists as needed.
• Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and provide education and instructions.
• Adhere to MRI safety standards and department policies.
• Administer contrast media using age-appropriate technical and positioning protocols.
• Assist radiologists with MR procedures as requested.
• Evaluate MRI images for technical quality.
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment, including warm-up, calibration, safety checks, and quality control.
• Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Use hospital computer systems for documentation and reporting.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
