Schedule
- Day shift, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- No weekends or holidays
- Call shifts available to pick up
- Bi-campus coverage between two hospital campuses
Position Details
- Interventional Radiology Technologist role with coverage at two campuses
- Guaranteed hours
- Start date: ASAP, with orientation available every Monday between 6/29 and 7/20
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Connecticut
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- Active ARRT Radiography (R) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 12 months of start, including multiple national and state-level checks
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Verification of highest education level; foreign equivalency evaluation required for internationally educated candidates
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (clean shaven required)
- 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray documentation required
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (or declination), Tdap (highly preferred for certain specialties)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- COVID vaccination series preferred

- Completion of facility-specific training modules and attestations, including but not limited to:
- Language Services Training
- CAUTI Education Training (except PICU, NICU, Psychiatry/Behavioral Health)
- Suicide Risk and Environmental Assessment Training
- Mobile Heartbeat Alarm (except ER/ED, Pediatrics, ICU, NICU)
- Stroke Education (except Pediatric specialties and NICU)
- CLABSI Prevention Training
- Preventing Pressure Injury Training
- Patient Transportation with Oxygen Education
- Pyxis ES MedStation Modules
- Baxter Pump Interoperability Training
- Patient Bedside Rounding (except OR, Behavioral Health, Ambulatory, ER/ED)
- Ventricular Assist Device Awareness (except certain campuses)
- AME Blood Administration Module (except Case Managers, Behavioral Health/Psych, Home Health)
- New Employee Orientation Module
- 21st Century Cures Act Module (required for Radiology Techs)
- Fire Safety Module (effective 5/4/2026)
- Chaperone Policy Training (effective 5/31/2024)
- EPIC system testing or training for those with or without prior experience (optional but highly encouraged)
Competency Exams
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required within 12 months of start (minimum 85% passing score)
- Color Blind Testing required for all candidates starting 8/2/2024 or later (minimum 80% passing score)
Work History and References
- 7-year work history with no gaps greater than 90 days required
- Verification of last 7 years of employment required (attestations not accepted)
- One supervisor reference within the past year required for Cardio Thoracic ICU/CTICU assignments (charge nurse references not accepted)
- Skills checklist required within 12 months of start
Special Requirements
- Attestation of prior radiation exposure required for this role and must be updated if there is a 30-day gap between assignments
- RTO (Return to Office) restrictions: absences longer than 7 days require approval
