Job Opportunity: Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform cardiac sonography with familiarity in ECG stress, echo stress, and bubble studies.
• Charting required using EPIC electronic health record system.
• No floating assignments.
• No weekend shifts required.
• Block scheduling may be accommodated.
• Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM).

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer.
• Cardiac Sonographer experience within the last year.
• Certifications required:

  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
  • RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Must be ready to Return to Office (RTO) at time of submission.
• Pass/Fail Basic Dysrhythmia Exam required during orientation (one attempt only).
• Professional license verification required (primary source verification).
• 2 professional references within 2 years of start date.
• Work history verification for at least 1 year prior to start date (New Jersey candidates).

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 2 months prior to start.
• Fit test (3M 1870+ mask) within 12 months prior to start; must be completed before start date.
• Current Tdap vaccine or titer required.
• Negative TB test (Qgold or TSPOT) within 90 days prior to start; chest X-ray if positive test.
• Annual TB questionnaire required.
• Immunizations required (2 vaccines or positive titer, or declination/booster if negative/equivocal) for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
• Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination accepted.
• 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start.
• Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 1).
• COVID-19 vaccine no longer required prior to start; however, medical/religious exemptions require mask-wearing at work. COVID booster preferred but not required.

Background and Compliance Checks

• 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, updated annually.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire.
• Education verification or official transcript required.
• Fingerprinting required only for Pennsylvania placements or if working with minors.
• Child abuse search required for Pennsylvania placements if applicable.

Additional Information

• Facility-specific education modules (~6 hours) must be completed prior to orientation.
• Acknowledgement of Joint Commission Safety Manual and Pass/Fail Dysrhythmia Testing required.
