Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech

Work Schedule

• Day shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call: One night per week and every 4th or 5th weekend (weekend coverage required)
• Must be able to work weekends independently

Requirements/Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
• Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ARRT Registered Interventional Radiology Technologist certification (ARRT(R)(VI))

Required Certifications and Licenses

• Current state Radiology Tech license (Colorado)
• Must maintain certification renewal plans to avoid clearance issues

Technical Skills and Equipment

• Experience with Philips Azurion imaging system
• Charting experience required using Epic electronic health record system

Required Documentation and Compliance

• Valid Driver’s License/State ID (clear copies front and back)
• E-Verify or attestation
• Proof of legal name change if applicable
• 7-year background check including SSN trace, Colorado state checks, education verification, and federal sanction lists
• Education verification or transcript/diploma (accredited programs only)
• Drug testing within 30 days of start and annually
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA
• Fit mask test within 12 months of start and annually (specific 3M masks required)
• Immunizations and titers: TDAP, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, with annual TB questionnaire if positive
• COVID vaccine documentation or signed declination
• Color blindness testing via Ishihara exam (online testing not accepted for new candidates)
• Annual competency exams including medication/pharmacology, dysrhythmia/EKG, OSHA, and core competencies
• Annual UCHealth CO CAPS release authorization with 5 years of address history

References and Employment History

• Two professional references from the last two years, including one from the past year (charge RN, manager, or supervisor)
• Employment history verification for the last 3 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Completed employment application with current contact information

This position is ideal for experienced Interventional Radiology Technologists who meet trauma and stroke experience requirements and are comfortable with on-call and weekend shifts in a high-acuity, level 1 trauma setting.
