Job Description
- Work in invasive Cardiology unit with 4 Cardiac Catheterization Labs and 2 Electrophysiology Labs.
- Unit includes 23 prep/recovery bays and performs over 6,000 advanced cardiovascular procedures annually, including complex coronary procedures, VAD/ECMO, structural heart procedures (TAVR, left atrial appendage occlusion, PFO/ASD closure, mitral valve clipping), complex ablations, pacemaker/ICD implant/explant, cardioversion, pulmonary artery pressure sensor implantation, peripheral intervention, and pulmonary embolectomy.
- May care for COVID-19 patients.
- Tobacco and fragrance-free facility.
Schedule
- Day shift, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM).
- Must be willing to stay until the last patient is cared for.
- No call, no weekends, no holidays required.
- Floating as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Pennsylvania.
- Minimum 2 years of Electrophysiology Lab experience, including experience within the last year.
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
Screening & Interview Process
- Clinical pre-screen to determine fit.
- Manager interview required.
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and Pennsylvania-specific fingerprinting and child abuse (Childline) search.
- Fingerprinting must be completed in Pennsylvania within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days.
- Education verification of highest degree required.
- Two professional references within 3 years required.
- Most recent resume or employment application required.
- Annual skills checklist required.
- Various facility-specific documents must be reviewed and signed, including confidentiality agreement, code of conduct, commitment to health & wellness, and non-employee affidavit.
- Photo for badge: clear, passport-style headshot with light background, no face coverings except religious headwear.
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP.
- Fit mask testing within 1 year, updated annually; specific 3M mask models required. PAPR training required if fit test failed.
- Immunizations/vaccinations required or proof of immunity (vaccines or positive titers) for:
- Hepatitis B (full series or positive titer) or declination form.
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years.
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if titers negative/equivocal).
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if titers negative/equivocal).
- Seasonal flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption during flu season.
- COVID-19 vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption or declination.
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start; PPD not accepted. For positive TB, negative chest X-ray within 1 year and annual TB questionnaire required.
- Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year (required for agency only, not by facility).
Competency & Training Requirements
- Pass/fail Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam within 72 hours of contract signing.
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
- Completion of assigned Learning Management System (LMS) modules on PC/laptop prior to start (not on cell phones).
- New hire orientation must be completed by end of first day.

- Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days.
- No weekends, holidays, or call required.
- Floating as needed.
