Job Description

• Provide respiratory therapy services as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Work primarily on the respiratory unit during day shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Virginia.
• Minimum of 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Vaccination and Health Requirements

• Flu vaccine is required during flu season (October 1 - March 31). Medical or religious exemptions require documentation and approval.
• Negative TB test (PPD, Tspot, or QGold) within 1 year of start; annual TB questionnaire required.
• Adult TDAP vaccine required for certain units.
• Fit mask test within the last 12 months is mandatory.
• Negative 11-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.
• Proof of immunity or vaccination for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B.
• Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year, confirming ability to meet physical demands.

Compliance and Documentation

• Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service.
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation required.
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and education verification must be completed and updated as required.
• Completion of facility-specific documents and acknowledgements prior to start, including confidentiality agreements, code of ethics, dress code, infection control, and safety policies.
• Completion of orientation and competency exams as applicable (medication, dysrhythmia/EKG, core competencies).
• Submission of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
• Completion of employment application and skills checklist.
• Vendor Access Request (VAR) form and facility background check through HireRight must be completed promptly.

Additional Notes

• Candidates must wear both agency and facility badges at all times.
• EPIC training modules may be required depending on assignment.
• Facility-specific policies on parking, chaperone, and information security must be reviewed and signed.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
