Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical/Telemetry

Location: West Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12.5-hour shift)
Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW), Every Other Holiday (EOH)

Job Description

Provide nursing care on Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units.
Deliver direct patient care consistent with specialty standards.

Required Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications

Valid RN license in Iowa.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Experience

Minimum of 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience.
Telemetry experience within the last year.

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

Drug screen: 10-panel drug test completed within 30 days of start (no THC).
Criminal background check covering federal, nationwide, and county records from the last 7 years, including SSN verification.
Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma.
Various professional forms and agreements including:
- Code of Conduct
- Confidentiality and Information Security Agreement
- Conflict of Interest Disclosure
- Integrity and Audit Services Form
- Non-Employee Upload Form
- Criminal History and Abuse Registry checks (Iowa-specific)
- OFAC sanctions screening
System access form completed and uploaded one week before start.
Joint Commission CORE exam within the last year.
Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical competency verification.

Additional Notes

License and certification verifications must be dated within 30 days of assignment start.
All required documents and certifications must be uploaded to the credentialing system prior to onboarding.
This position involves working every other weekend and holiday, with 12.5-hour shifts.
