Job Opportunity: Oncology Chemo Certified Registered Nurse

Location

City: Lacey, Washington

Employment Type

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 5 days a week
Day shift: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week)
Start times typically between 7:15 AM and 7:45 AM
No holidays or weekend shifts
Shifts may vary; work until last patient is seen

Job Description

Outpatient Infusion/Oncology RN role
Patient population includes:
- Oncology patients receiving chemotherapy/immunotherapy
- Hematology patients
- Non-oncology infusions (rheumatology, GI, neurology, pulmonology)
Approximately 85% hematology/oncology and 15% non-oncology infusions
Experience with infusion center, outpatient oncology preferred (inpatient oncology experience may be considered)
Skills in IM subcutaneous injections and therapeutic phlebotomy required

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
Minimum 1 year of oncology experience, with oncology experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Chemotherapy certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience in an outpatient setting
Experience with intramuscular (IM) and subcutaneous injections
Therapeutic phlebotomy experience
Infusion experience
