Description
Radiation Therapist (Oncology) – Temp Position
Location: Petoskey, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 8
Job Summary
- Deliver quality patient care through radiation therapy treatments.
- Perform treatment simulations and fabricate necessary shielding blocks.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
- Prepare equipment for patient treatments, perform quality control and assurance tests.
- Ensure proper infection control and adhere to radiation safety and protection practices.
- Maintain professional working relationships with medical staff.
- Follow a strict attendance policy: 3 absences or late arrivals (over 20 minutes) may result in immediate termination, with exceptions for documented illness or hospitalization.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist, including experience within the last year.
- ARRT (T) certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- At least 1 year of prior travel experience.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with TrueBeam, ARIA, and Trilogy radiation therapy equipment.
Additional Information
- Dress code: Scrubs of any color.
- EMR system used: ARIA.
- The facility serves a broad regional population with a focus on oncology and other specialties.
Note: This position follows a strict attendance policy effective 6/1/2024 to ensure patient care quality.
