Description
Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer Travel Position
Location
- Portland, Maine
Job Type
- Travel assignment
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Rotating day shifts including weekends
- 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Overnight call 5:30 PM to 6:30 AM, 2-3 nights per month (with cardiologist approval)
- Total 40 hours per week
Work Environment
- Busy inpatient echocardiography lab in a tertiary care hospital with Level I trauma center
- High-volume workload: 7-8 echocardiograms per day
- Fast-paced, critical care setting
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent cardiac sonographer experience
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- Adherence to ASE (American Society of Echocardiography) standards
Additional Notes
- Position requires adherence to strict call guidelines with cardiologist approval for call-ins
- Collaborative work culture with sonographers, cardiologists, and fellows
