Registered Nurse – Endoscopy
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with Endoscopy specialty for a travel contract position. The role requires working day shifts with a 4-day, 10-hour schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- One completed travel nursing assignment
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic charting system
Orientation
- Orientation sessions held bi-weekly
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Valid driver’s license or government-issued photo ID
- Social Security card (if used for I9 verification)
- Background check within 90 days of start, including multi-county and nationwide searches
- E-Verify or attestation required
- Physical exam within 12 months of start (latex allergy acceptable)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (with specific documentation if history of positive PPD)
- Required immunizations/vaccinations:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years, no exemptions)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (vaccines or positive antibody titers, no exemptions)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if low/equivocal)
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Polio vaccine or signed attestation
- Seasonal flu vaccine (required during flu season; no exemptions)
- Negative 10-panel drug test including THC within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
- Two professional references from employment within 12 months of start (at least one supervisor)
- Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
- Competency exam and unit-specific competency checklist to be completed within 3 weeks after start
- Setup of a facility-specific Guest Account prior to clearance to access orientation and work systems
Additional Notes
- Candidates must be prepared for call and weekend requirements as specified
- Candidates switching facilities must reactivate Guest Account if previously terminated
- Failure to complete required competency checklists or documentation on time may result in contract cancellation
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Blue Card training may be required depending on unit assignment; training provided onsite if needed
This position is not open to first-time travel nurses and requires prior travel experience. Local candidates within 75 miles are eligible and may receive adjusted rates.
