Description
Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 10-hour shifts, day/evening coverage
- Week 1: Wednesday to Saturday, 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Week 2: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Standby call as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Wisconsin
- Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background check within 90 days prior to start, including nationwide and Wisconsin caregiver screening
- Education verification as applicable to specialty
- Physical exam (must be within 1 year) to meet agency standards
- Drug screening per agency standards (not required annually unless working in Pharmacy)
- Immunizations and health documents:
- TB test or chest X-ray with appropriate follow-up if positive
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or titers, with medical/religious exemptions accepted
- Varicella vaccination or titer, with exemptions accepted
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or declination form if applicable
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required annually during flu season)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination proof (if applicable)
- Meningococcal vaccine or declination (if working in Microbiology)
Testing and Competency Requirements
- Facility-specific telemetry exams (Adult and/or Pediatric) as applicable, with strict passing criteria and remediation process
- Medication/pharmacology competency exams as applicable
- Pass/fail testing for EKG/medication knowledge required for certain specialties
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgment and other facility-specific training
Additional Requirements
- Completion of Wisconsin BID form and caregiver screening prior to start
- Submission of a professional, passport-style photo for badge issuance
- References: Two clinical references within the last 3 years (agency standard)
- Employment application and annual skills checklist
Start Dates
- Available start dates: July 20, July 27, or August 3, 2026
This position offers a structured travel contract opportunity for experienced X-Ray Technologists with required licensure and certifications, working in a trauma-capable hospital setting with a defined shift schedule and comprehensive compliance requirements.
