Position Overview
- Role: Registered Nurse – Cath Lab

- Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hours (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Hours per Week: 40 hours

Compliance & Background Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License required and must remain current throughout assignment
- Background checks including:
- Standard 7-year history verification
- EPLS/GSA/SAM
- HHS/OIG
- Education verification required; foreign-educated candidates must provide a Foreign Equivalency Evaluation
- Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting)
- Physical exam within 6 months of start
- Negative TB test (PPD, Qgold, or Tspot) within 10 weeks of start; chest X-ray if prior positive PPD
- Annual TB questionnaire required in lieu of annual TB test
- Immunizations or titers required for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
- Varicella
- Standard 9-panel drug test within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination with mask requirement during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccination required (exemptions accepted)
- Respirator medical clearance required if respirator use is necessary
Competency & Training Requirements
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (score ≥ 80%) as applicable
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam with 100% lethal arrhythmia score required for Cath Lab and related units
- Color blind testing via Relias required prior to start
- Stroke education CEUs and NIH Stroke Certification as applicable
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification if applicable (not typically required for Cath Lab)
- Facility-specific online training modules must be completed prior to start (approx. 4-8 hours)
- Photo for badge required prior to start (clear, professional, solid background)
- Compliance with facility dress code and tobacco policy
Documentation & History
- Two professional references from the past 2 years required
- Employment application and skills checklist must be submitted and available for facility review
Additional Notes
- Guaranteed hours apply after the first call-off per pay period
- No Return to Origin (RTO) restrictions in contract
- Candidates must be able to meet all credentialing and compliance requirements prior to start
This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab RNs seeking a travel contract in a well-equipped acute care teaching hospital environment with advanced cardiac procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Conscious sedation skills
