Job Opportunity: EP Lab Registered Nurse

Location: Melbourne, Florida
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 9 weeks

Work Schedule

• Day shift, Monday to Friday
• 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (6:45 AM – 5:15 PM)
• No weekend requirement
• No on-call except as required by the unit
• Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
• Block schedules may be accommodated with manager approval

Job Details

• Specialty: Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Registered Nurse
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Documentation system transitioning from Xper to EPIC
• First-time travel nurses accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Electrophysiology Lab experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Flu vaccine required during flu season (10/1 – 3/31); medical or religious exemptions accepted with facility-specific forms submitted by deadline
• Physical exam within 6 months prior to start (valid for 5 years once on file)
• Fit mask test within 12 months prior to start (strict shaving policy; PAPR not accepted)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months of start (valid for 5 years)
• Annual TB questionnaire required
• Required immunization titers within 5 years:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start, including marijuana (instant test accepted only if witnessed urine collection)

Background and Documentation

• Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check required within 90 days of start
• Monthly HHS/OIG checks required
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting accepted nationwide)
• Education verification required; candidates from certain disqualified institutions will not be accepted
• Clear, passport-style photo with white background required for badge
• Completion of facility-specific documents including job description acknowledgment, confidentiality agreement, values attestation, and badge form

• Contracted hours are guaranteed
• Scrubs: solid color, bring your own or wear provided scrubs
• Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Motor vehicle record release and auto insurance may be required for certain roles (not specified for this position)
