Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Telemetry (Days)

Location: Fort Dodge, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May float within the same discipline across local campuses, including Med Surg, Telemetry, Emergency Department (ED), and Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Must be comfortable working in these areas.
• Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime is billable after 40 hours.
• Required to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.
• Orientation occurs every Monday.

• 12-hour shifts

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, with experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Experience managing cardiac drips, insulin drips, and titration
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system

Additional Information

• Overtime and holiday pay multipliers apply.
• Call back pay with minimum 2-hour call back.
• Charge/preceptor pay available.
• Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are accepted with sufficient nursing experience.
